StaR GPS Victim Notification
- All costs for victim notification are to be paid by the offender ($1/day per victim requesting notification)
- H.A.S. will map the victim’s home, work, and/or school zone as well as any other location that the court has ordered the offender stay out of.
- H.A.S. will also add a “buffer zone” to all exclusion zones. This will eliminate false exclusion zone violations and allows the defendant time to re-route his/her course in order to avoid entering a restricted area.
- Victims can choose how they would like to be notified. H.A.S. offers the following methods of victim notification:
- Alpha-Numeric Pagers
- Text Messages
- Phone Calls
- E-mail
- Fax
- Our monitoring center is staffed 24-7. Victims are encouraged to call if they receive a notification and need further information.
- Victims are not only notified of exclusion zone violations. They are also notified if an offender is not within range of his/her tracking device or if the offender allows the battery on the tracking device to die.
